Clinical Notes & Considerations
- TruAbutment is an aftermarket (third-party) prosthetic components manufacturer — they do NOT make dental implants themselves. Their components are designed to fit OEM implant connections (Nobel, Straumann, ZimVie, Dentsply Sirona, Neodent, MegaGen, etc.) at the prosthetic interface.
- Workflow position for 3DL: TruScan Body and Digital Lab Analog slot into the digital impression → CAD design → milled/printed model phase. We use TruScan Body intraorally or on the model, import the matching 3Shape / exocad library, design over a TruBase, mill the crown/bridge, and deliver on a TruAbutment Digital Lab Analog in the printed model.
- Clinical caution: aftermarket connection geometries are NOT OEM-manufactured. Verify torque values and seating per TruAbutment IFU rather than the OEM manufacturer's IFU. Document aftermarket component selection in the case record for medico-legal traceability.
- Specialization: Swiss-type CNC turning of tight-tolerance titanium abutments and Ti-bases. Strong fit for digital lab workflows requiring custom abutment design with screw-retained restorations.
- TruSuite software ecosystem (Dentru AI denture, TRUST implant CAD, Pylon guide planning, T-Marker photogrammetry) is a separate offering — software-based digital workflow tools beyond the physical components.

- Scan with any major IOS. Upload the scan through the doctor portal. 3DL confirms receipt the same day and validates the scan body capture before any milling begins.
- 3DL designs in matched pairs. Custom abutment and final crown are designed together so the emergence profile of the abutment supports the crown's gingival contour exactly.
- Mill, finish, ship. Custom titanium or zirconia abutment plus final crown ship together in 7 to 10 business days. Verification jig included on request.
